Taking a Photo Dump

I have a handful of pics on my phone that will make good new daily photos, but I also have some that go together in logical sets. Let's look at them together, in order of most boring topic to least boring topic.

You will remember this, but future theskinnyonbenny historians might not. There was some guy named Jack Smith testifying in front of the Sentate. One Senator thought he had a Perry Mason gotcha moment, except that he didn't look at his evidence closely enough to distinguish the Iowa Hawkeyes from the Atlanta Hawks.

If you're thinking that no one is that big a doofus, you must be new to reading about my own antics. Also, here's a link to the full story.

Anyway, that lead to a whole bunch of social media posts like these, which were my two favorites.

While we're doing politics, here's another joke that made me laugh.

And one more that had to do with LSU putting their quarterback on the injury report a couple of weeks ago before the Ole Miss game.

Onward to more personal news...

The brisket that I mentioned in the last post turned out pretty good. It's not the best I ever had, but it's easily in the 80th percentile. Huge win for a first brisket.

I had also mentioned that we've been updating our whole-home audio and football watching experience. Mrs. theskinnyonbenny is completely committed. The first one looks posed, but the reach up is legit. I just asked for a smile.

And finally, this was on my drive home Thursday of last week. I wish the backdrop was something other than office buildings and traffic, but the sky gives you a show when the sky gives you a show. You can't always be on a lake or in the mountains.

Again, there are more new pics that made me laugh over there where they rightly belong.
